HOW ARE WE STRIVING TO BE SUSTAINABLE?

BEING ACCOUNTABLE FOR OUR DECISIONS AND HOW IT IMPACTS OUR SOCIETY

Raw Materials: Being aware and conscious of where our raw materials come from and how they are made. Analysing the impact of the raw materials we use on the environment to a large extent.

Research and development: We try to extensively work on up-cycling and step by step sustainable developments in our design and operational process. Novel and effective industry waste recycling is a subject of constant research.

Slow Fashion: We create season-less and gender-less fashion which we produce over a specified amount of time to conserve resources like water and electricity as well as eliminate exploitation of labour. With this ideology we are also trying to combat the issue of over consumption and wastage, while trying to encourage repeating and reusing garments.

Ethical and fair wage: As a label in its initial incubation stage, we are happy to be transparent with how we work and who makes you’re garments. We are a small team of 3 people that are involved with sampling and then the production is outsourced with a smaller scale factory since we work with smaller MOQ’s. We outsource some of the other operational activities to respective agencies to help us support operations of our business. We also employ men and women from the under privileged society on project basis to make up-cycled textiles, embroideries and other intricate garment work. This is to ensure we are in a small way trying to include people who most often feel like they lack opportunity to enter a mainstream workspace. We aim to keep production local while putting the craft of India on the world map!

Justifying pricing structure: As a brand building on sustainability it is very necessary for us to explain why a product costs the price that it does. The design process is relatively more intricate plus research and development driven. The cost of raw material which is sustainable is priced on the higher end. Quantities of garments as well as the add ons produced are also smaller hence the cost of production much higher than our fast fashion counterparts. A sustainable branding and operational module in the age of rampant fast fashion in totality comes with a price. We aim to provide you with a product that is an investment as it will last you a long time and will be something you can repeat.
